ACADEMIC COURSE

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

This course is purposely designed for non-native speakers who are studying and working in Indonesia.  It promotes the development of essential language and critical thinking skills in five areas:  listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar. A student-centered classroom provides participants with the opportunity to experience an Indonesian approach to language learning in the context of their own culture. This unique learning opportunity provides the perfect setting for a rich cross-cultural educational experience. This course seeks to:

  1. Demonstrate an at-level understanding and application of grammar rules.

  2. Engage in both formal and informal conversation and speak with appropriate accuracy and fluency.

  3. Understand reading context, identify the writer's purposes, and increase reading rate.

  4. Respond appropriately to spoken instructions and recognize the intention of speaker.

  5. Accurately compose moderate complex sentences with basic transitions to connect ideas in spoken and written discourse.

REGULATIONS:

  1. One class should consist of one or two students.

  2. Each meeting lasts for one hour (sixty minutes).

  3. Within 8 meetings, a student may cancel one time and we will provide substitute  day.

  4. The second cancellation within the same 8 meetings will be charged and there is no extra class.

  5. Cancellation on the spot will be charged.

  6. A student is required to study within 3 months minimum.

  7. The tuition is paid in advance.
